For 56 years, Georgia Tech students have gathered the Friday before Homecoming to race tricycles in the Mini 500. It’s a tradition rooted as much in mechanics as whimsy. This year’s race starts Friday at 5 p.m. at Peter’s Parking Deck, with teams attempting to complete eight laps without destroying their tricycles.
