πΈβοΈπ Family Chapel β Monday!
Monday is Family Chapel Time, and we are excited to sing with Ms. Abby as she leads us in worship with her ukulele.
Our Lenten theme for March is Friendship. We'll be reading I'm Sticking With You and learning the beautiful truth of Bible verse Proverbs 17:17: "A friend loves at all times.β
Please park and walk your child into Fellowship Hall, and we invite you to stay and join us for this special time together.

No Covenant Kids β Thursday, March 5
There will be no Covenant Kids program this Thursday, March 5. Our teachers gather on the first Thursday of each month for devotion, collaboration, and planning as we continue to grow together in excellence and faith.
π Kindergarten Prep at Noah's Ark
We had a very successful registration for the 2026β2027 school year, and plans are already underway for September!
We do have a few spots still available in our Kindergarten Prep class. If you have friends or family who may be looking for an additional year of preschool before kindergarten, I would love to connect with them and share more about this special program.
πππ As always, thank you for being such a faithful and joyful part of our Noah's Ark community.Β
Have a wonderful weekend,

This week, we finished our Community Helpers theme... with a very small class! Some friends were out of town, and unfortunately, some of our friends weren't feeling well. We hope to have a full class next week!
Because this group loves cars and ramps so much, we took cardboard strips, painted them black, and will use them in the block area! (In fact, the kinder-prep class borrowed some of them to use with their newly constructed bridges!)
We noticed the cherry blossoms are out, so we added some to our classroom and did an art project making our own cherry blossom branches. Signs that spring is soon!
Next week, we start our Rainbow theme and have some really fun activities ready, including using an overhead projector for lots of light and color!
We hope everyone who is sick feels better soon, and safe travels to those who are returning from trips. We missed you all this week!

This week, we finished up our Community Helpers theme with lots of fun activities. In art, we started the week off painting a fire truck, then got to drive construction vehicles through paint and see the tracks they left. We ended the week using different paper shapes to construct fire trucks. The children's imaginations really shone during this process. While the "goal" was to make fire trucks, one child told us he made a robot. And that's what it's all about!
We still spent a lot of time in the dramatic play area dressing up like police officers and firefighters, while continuing to have tea parties in the kitchen.
In our small groups, we learned the letter/sound I, put together our sound puzzles, and traced the letter. Ms. Susan's small group built a marble run and had so much fun watching the marbles roll down the tubes.
We were so thankful to see the sun at the end of the week and took advantage of the opportunity for plenty of outdoor playtime.
We hope you have a restful and healthy weekend!

Roars, footprints, and dinosaur fun have filled our Pre-K classroom for the past two weeks!
During circle time, we practiced small, medium, and large by putting dinosaurs in order by size. The children loved comparing them and using size words. They also sang and danced to My Name Is Stegosaurus by ABC Kids and Dinosaur Stomp by Mother Goose Club. The children were excited to learn about long-necked dinosaurs, predators, and Stegosaurs. We talked about what dinosaurs ate and learned about carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores. They were especially fascinated by pterosaurs and delighted to discover that these flying reptiles were not true dinosaurs.
The Paleontologist's Office was busy all week. The children dug for fossils, examined bones, and shared what they found. In the block area, they built dinosaur nests and imagined their own prehistoric worlds.
At the playdough table, the children used tools to make dinosaur imprints. The sand in the sensory table was very popular, with children digging, scooping, and searching for hidden treasures. Magnatiles and puzzles gave them even more opportunities to problem-solve and work together.
You may have noticed your child bringing home hole-punched paper. Using a hole punch helps build hand strength, eye-hand coordination, and bilateral coordination. These skills are important for writing and other fine motor activities.
Our letter and sound focus this week was N, and our number focus was nine.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Kinder Prep put on their construction and engineering hats this week for their final week in our Transportation theme! The first goal was to build a boat that floats, and each student was successful! We had a great discussion about which materials float and which boats are made. They also tested materials to confirm they would float. For the final float, we added 3 quarters to see if the boat would stay level and float. It was very fun testing each boat, and joyful to watch how excited classmates were for each other!
Our next challenge was to build a bridge that could hold a small car and send it across without the car falling off. Again, there was much delight in the process, and learning as students tried different approaches. Once the bridges were complete and tested, most of the students added ramps. The class enjoyed including their bridges in play for the remainder of the week.
We also practiced patterning, graphing, and measuring with unifix cubes. We reviewed the sounds and lowercase formation of the letters Y and J. Next week, our theme shifts from science-based to more literary-based as we jump into an Author Study featuring Dr. Seuss.
Have a great weekend!!
