Purdue Bands & Orchestras has been a second family to tens of thousands of people over the years, and that connection stays with you long after graduation. Below you can meet a few of the many faces of our family, and relive some special Purdue Bands & Orchestras performances from this year!

Say Hello to our Seniors!

Lucy Bays is a senior from Zionsville, IN studying Public Health with minors in Spanish and Biology. She served as Drum Major of the Purdue "All-American" Marching Band in the fall and played trombone in Concert Band in the spring. She was a member of the Purdue Trombone Choir as well. You can see their performances from February on our YouTube channel. Lucy was also featured in a commercial for the Indianapolis 500 this year (now scheduled for August 23). Check it out HERE! Congratulations Lucy and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Boiler up!

Faculty Feature

We are so fortunate to have the world-class faculty that we do in this department. One of those incredible faculty members is Dr. Jonathan Sweet. Dr. Sweet has been with Purdue Bands & Orchestras for 3 years and he recently earned his Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Kentucky (congratulations!). His primary instrument is Euphonium and his favorite piece of music is Mahler Symphony #1. His favorite movie is Back to the Future and he is a huge fan of NHL hockey, especially the Dallas Stars. Say hello to Dr. Sweet!
