PICK UP YOUR FREE RAPID ANTIGEN AT-HOME COVID-19 TEST TODAY!

Dear Campus Community:
Starting today and all through finals week, the campus will be distributing one rapid antigen at-home COVID-19 test kit to all UCSB students, staff and faculty who would like a test kit. Test kits are available at (i) the Customer Service Desk at the front of the UCEN Bookstore, (ii) the Loma Pelona COVID-19 testing clinic and (iii) all campus housing residence hall front desks and apartment complex offices. All you need to do to get a test kit is to show your UCSB ID card.
PLEASE USE THIS TEST KIT TO CHECK YOURSELF PRIOR TO RETURNING TO CAMPUS AT THE END OF YOUR SPRING BREAK. IF YOU TEST POSITIVE, PLEASE REPORT THE RESULT THROUGH THE STUDENT HEALTH PATIENT PORTAL UNDER “NEW MESSAGES” AND CONTACT YOUR INSTRUCTORS AND/OR SUPERVISORS TO INFORM THEM OF THE SITUATION. AT LEAST 5 DAYS OF ISOLATION IS NEEDED AFTER A POSITIVE TEST AND A FULL 10 DAYS OF ISOLATION IF SYMPTOMS CONTINUE, AND SUBSEQUENT RAPID ANTIGEN AT-HOME TEST RESULTS CONTINUE TO BE POSITIVE. HOPEFULLY, EVERYONE WILL BE NEGATIVE.
IF YOU NEED MORE TEST KITS, YOU CAN PURCHASE THEM AT MANY LOCAL PHARMACIES AS WELL AS GET 2 SETS OF 4 TESTS PER U.S. ADDRESS FREE FROM THE U.S. GOVERNMENT (ALTHOUGH THAT MAY TAKE A WEEK OR TWO).
