Congratulations to Dr. Devin Scott on representing the UT Health Science Center at the 2025 Health Professions Educators Conference! |
Dr. Devin Scott has been selected to present at the Health Professions Educators Conference, scheduled to be held virtually on April 29, 2025. Dr. Scott will be presenting on the Science of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), work which he co-authored for the Magna Health Professions Educators Conference. His work, titled "Advancing the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Health Professions: An Interactive Workshop", details the scholarship of teaching and learning within the health professions, and provides valuable insights into how to actively engage with SoTL. Drawing from examples in two recent edited volumes, Dr. Scott and his colleagues will illuminate the pressing questions and challenges that are engaging practitioners, educators, and students alike, elaborate on why SoTL is essential for advancing educational practices, and explain how you can contribute to this dynamic field.
“I am excited to be co-leading a session on the scholarship of teaching and learning with my colleagues, Drs. Alina Cernasev and Laura Cruz! The scholarship of teaching and learning is vitally important to the work we do here at UT Health Science Center.”
- Devin Scott, PhD
