Join us this Saturday, December 12th
for our free CME,
"Racism in Medicine"
Rajneet S. Lamba, MD
As President of the King County Medical Society, I am proud to see us bringing forth our December 12th CME entitled, "Racism in Medicine." This is a perpetually relevant topic which we hope to cover with a historical lens to address inequities in disease-based outcomes, bias in medicine, and the social and political determinants of health.
We are fortunate to be collaborating with subject matter experts from the University of Washington Medical School including keynote addresses from power couple Prof Edwin Lindo and Dr. Estell Williams as well as Odessa Brown’s Dr. Ben Danielson.
KIRO’s Ursula Reutin will be hosting our Q&A panels with our speakers. Please come prepared with your questions.
Senate Deputy Majority Leader Manka Dhingra is joining the CME to share relevant health policy updates in our state.
Thank you to Johnson & Johnson for supporting this educational opportunity.
It has been so great to see these collaborations come together over many months of work by our Board of Trustees and staff. This event will be recorded and provided on our website for future viewing. We look forward to bringing you more CME content in the future
I am also very pleased to find institutions in King County, and beyond, engaging with us on speaking out against racism and highlighting KCMS programming. We look forward to including them all in our messaging during the event!
