12 Days of Fitmas Community Bootcamp
Friday, 12/22 at 9am

Gather your friends and family for a community workout utilizing all spaces of the club. Holiday costumes are encouraged! Open to both members and non-members, this free community class is perfect for all fitness levels.

Employee of the Month
Hannah Gonzalez

Congratulations to our December Employee of the Month, Hannah!

Hannah has been working in Active Kids Club for a little over a year. She has been a fabulous addition to the team. Hannah loves to make fun crafts with the kids, especially during the holiday season! When she is not in the art room working her magic you will often see her reading books, snuggling babies or her infamous non-stop cleaning. Hannah not only dedicates time to work but she is currently enrolled in Sonoma State University. There she is working on her Bachelor's degree in Communications and Media Studies. She is a busy lady so she often runs to help relieve stress. In Hannah's spare time she enjoys shopping, hanging out with friends and family and finding new places to explore. Fun fact, Hannah used to attend Active Kids with her mom over 10 years ago! We are so lucky to have Hannah as part of our team!

Member of the Month
Marti Phillips

We're happy to highlight our December Member of the Month, Marti!

Marti moved to Penngrove about a year ago and joined the club shortly thereafter. Her favorite thing to do at the club is to strength train with her personal trainer, Jeremiah, and take the Zone classes. Marti is a master at multitasking. You may see her doing Spanish homework on the treadmill and don’t be surprised if you even catch her watching Spanish Netflix on her iPad, using the dictionary on her phone, and doing cardio at the same time. She takes Spanish classes twice a week.

Marti is motivated to workout by her desire to stay fit so she can continue to travel the world and do the things that she likes to do, like photography. She has several images chosen as the Audubon top 100 bird photographs of the year and an image in the Audubon 2024 calendar that they give to all of their members.

Marti is very consistent and works hard, in and out of the gym. Traveling the world and staying fit is no easy task but Marti is making it happen! She believes that the consistent strength training has really helped her to work and travel with all of her camera equipment, including her new big telephoto lens.

“I’m happy to have found such a nice place to exercise after moving to the area just a year ago,” she says. Marti, we are grateful you joined our community and happy that you made Active Wellness Center Petaluma your home away from home. Keep up the good work!
