Call for Submissions: Lip Sync Battle Extravaganza

Submission Deadline: Next Saturday, July 15 at 11:59pm ET

Competition Event: Thursday, Sept 7 at 7pm

Calling all performers, dancers, and lip sync enthusiasts! We are looking for students to compete in NYU Welcome’s Lip Sync Battle. Submit a video (2 minutes max) showcasing your lip sync to any song to be considered for a chance to lip sync live at the event in September. We'll be offering prizes with the top award for Lip-Sync Champion of $250!

PLAN AHEAD

Now. Confirm your NYU Student Health Insurance

Most students are automatically enrolled in and charged a premium for an NYU-sponsored Student Health Insurance plan. Students who maintain alternate health insurance coverage that meets the University’s minimum health insurance criteria may waive the NYU-sponsored student health insurance plan entirely. Learn more on the Student Health Insurance website.

Now. Confirm your Meal Plan and Make Changes

All first year and transfer students living in an NYU residence hall are required to participate in the NYU meal plan program for two semesters. If you are living on campus, you will automatically be assigned the 225 Flex meal plan but allowable changes can be made through the NYU Dining Portal. For dining hall and meal plan information (including rates), visit the NYU Dining website.

July 15. Submit Final Transcripts

Send your final transcripts to NYU by July 15 to meet our proof of graduation policy. If not, it is likely that you won’t be allowed to register for fall courses and you’ll be dropped from your pre-registered courses. An extension, though, will be granted to students outside the U.S. whose secondary schools operate on a different schedule.

July 15. Submit Mandatory Health Forms

Don't miss this deadline to submit proof of immunizations, the Student Health History form, and the Wellbeing Questionnaire. If you are under 18 years of age, you must also submit the Treatment of a Minor form so that you can access services at the Student Health Center. Failing to meet these requirements can result in de-enrollment from classes.

Mid-July. Housing and Residential Life Update

If you applied to live on campus, check your NYU inbox in Mid-July for an update regarding your housing assignment and roommate contact information. This communication will also share how to register for your check-in date and time.

August 26 & 27. Welcome Weekend & Residence Hall Move-In

Plan to be on campus for orientation and NYU Welcome events by August 26.

Anytime. Set up NYU Email on your phone and other tech needs

Prepare everything you need ahead of time! The Student Tech Guide is a central resource to answer commonly-asked tech questions. Check out the Tech Checklist for New Students to learn how to set up NYU Email on your phone, connect to Wi-Fi on campus, use Brightspace for class assignments, get antivirus software, set up your NYU Zoom, and more.
