Strength in Numbers
Strength in Numbers is an event focusing on mental health, especially depression, in males within minority communities and promoting awareness for all. The goal is to create an inclusive space for dialogue, understanding, and support, breaking the stigma around mental health in minority communities, and offering practical resources for coping with depression and fostering mental well-being for all attendees. This October 16 event at 5 p.m. in Schwartz 112 is sponsored by Mind Over Matter, Counseling and Psychological Services, and Dare to Care.

SHU Theatre Presents: Pride and Prejudice
Bold, surprising, boisterous, and timely, this P&P for a new era explores the absurdities and thrills of finding your perfect (or imperfect) match in life. Performances are free to the General Public beginning October 19 8 p.m. at the University Center Theater.

O.P.T. - Opioid Prevention Training
Join SGA and the Dean of Students Office and be prepared to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose. Join us on Saturday, October 21 for a 2-hour hands-on workshop. Participants will learn Bystander Intervention strategies, Rescue Breathing Techniques, and how to administer life-saving Narcan spray. Everyone in attendance will leave the program with a kit that includes Narcan. Attendance is limited so sign up now.
