Students,
With the semester now in full swing, I hope you are enjoying your classes and finding joy in activities and friendships–– not to mention the beautiful weather we have been having. In order to maintain our vibrant campus events and activities, we will need to continue to mask and follow all positive contact and testing protocols.
As a reminder, our focused asymptomatic testing strategy for vaccinated students continues. Please consult the asymptomatic testing schedule website to identify your testing week based on the first letter of your last name.
Each community member will test once between now and November 9. You are required to participate on your assigned week. However, we have received many questions from those who cannot report on their assigned week. If this applies to you, you must report the following week for testing. Those with last names A-B, for example, who did not test last week should report today or tomorrow. All testing is in McNeill Hall on West Campus from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m
Exempt students should continue to report for asymptomatic testing weekly. McNeil Hall is not for symptomatic testing. If you are a vaccinated symptomatic student, please follow these protocols. If you are not fully vaccinated, follow these protocols
If you fail to attend testing this fall as required by your vaccination status, you will be referred to Community Standards for a Health & Safety violation. It is your responsibility to follow up and be tested. You will not receive continued, individualized reminders.
As a reminder for those who have not yet completed your vaccination series, you have until September 30 to submit your completed vaccine card or be approved for an exemption. After that date, you will be put on a leave of absence. If you have any questions or need to discuss your particular circumstances, please email studentlife@rhodes.edu so that we can get everyone protected and in good standing by the deadline. Those who have not started your vaccine series can get the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine before September 30 to meet the deadline.
Thank you for protecting yourself, our community, and our city.
Be Well,
-mhw
