Thinking about what to do with your degree? Not sure how to take what you've learned and create a successful career path? The College of Arts & Letters is offering two courses that can help you plan for your future career. We encourage you to enroll in one or both of them for Spring 2024.
Arts Organizational Management and Communication (ALS 160)—3 Units
This course will provide you with the knowledge, practices, and communication skills needed to succeed in an arts or culture organization or to further your own creative career.
Students will attain the following skills and knowledge as they relate to arts and cultural organizations:
- Principles of Management
- Strategic Planning
- Effective Communication
- Ethical Decision Making
- Grant Writing
ALS 160 is one of the courses required for our new Certificate in Arts & Letters Entrepreneurship.
ALS Professional Seminar Series (ALS 196)—1 Unit
This 6-week series of seminars and workshops will help you explore, research, and network the job market for all arts and letters majors. You'll have the opportunity to meet and talk with guest speakers who majored in degree programs in the College of Arts & Letters.
