Karr Activity Center ASH DEVINE CONCERT Ash Devine is a multi-talented singer-songwriter, traditional folk musician, gerontology professional, and humanitarian clown originally from Blacksburg, VA and now based in Asheville, North Carolina. Devine's concert at Warm Hearth will include an audience participation-rich selection of classic American folk tunes, traditional Appalachian favorites, and heartfelt originals. In 2015, Ash musically directed and starred as Maybelle Carter in the play Esley: The Life and Music of Leslie Riddle in Burnsville, NC. Between 2007-2014, Devine traveled internationally to perform with the legendary humanitarian clown and health care activist Patch Adams, M.D.

Growing even larger, this fully functional rail road train display is sure to delight children of all ages. Free and open to the public. HEAVEN DVD SERIES Those who want to learn more about what the Bible teaches about Heaven is invited to join a DVD series in progress. "Heaven", by David Jeremiah, is being shown by Jeff Graf (540-449-3592) at Showalter Center on Thursdays from 2:35-3:45pm. The remainder dates for this series: January 3rd, 10th, and 24th, February 7th and 28th. The series is seeing shown on the first floor meeting room at Showalter Center. All are welcome.

Clinic Construction Update
The Clinic is VERY close to completion! The exterior landscaping is delayed due to snow and rain. The soil will have to dry before seeding and planting can proceed. Carilion will be seeing patients in January, but the exact date has not been announced. As soon as we know the date, we will share it with Warm Hearth residents and staff. We are all very excited!.

This is your chance to get a sneak peek at what will be in the spring catalog, which is being mailed January 2, 2019. Registration for spring membership, classes and events opens January 8, 2019.
LLI membership is required for participation in classes, trips and events. If you purchased an annual membership during fall 2018, your membership is active for the spring term as well.
