The work on Hodgdon is expected to take about 20 weeks and will begin in mid-March. Hodgdon’s last day of regular service will be Thursday, March 9. We expect the work to be completed in time for the start of the fall semester.
A mini-Hodgdon will pop-up in the lobby of Dewick-MacPhie starting Monday, March 27 after Spring Break. The Pop-up will offer a limited menu of popular items at breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the regular Hodgdon hours. Access to the Pop-up will be by walk-in orders.
All current regular Hodgdon employees will be offered their same schedules of work in alternate locations, either supporting the pop-up or working in Dewick. All student employees will be offered their same shifts in either Mini-Hodg, Dewick, or Carmichael. Other locations may also offer student shifts.
Improvements to Kindlevan Café will be made over the summer; work there is expected to start after Commencement and conclude in time for the start of the fall semester.
More detailed information on the work as it progresses will be available on the Tufts Dining website.
This work is a demonstration of the university’s commitment to improving our facilities and thus strengthening our program. I am grateful to the managers at Hodgdon, the Associate Directors and the Project Management team in Operations for their hard work to bring these projects to life. Look for periodic updates on the status of the work over the coming months.
