There were more than 100 topics to explore through oral and poster presentations at May 15’s Meeting of Minds Conference. UM-Dearborn hosted the 23rd annual event, which highlighted presentations, performances, posters, and discussion highlighting undergraduate research, creative endeavors, community engagement and student-faculty collaboration and brought together students from UM-Dearborn, UM-Flint and Oakland University. 
Former Representative John Dingell
Former U.S. Rep. John D. Dingell and University of Michigan-Dearborn have announced a partnership that will bring Dingell to campus to inspire the next generation of civic leaders. The partnership will provide faculty and students with unparalleled opportunities to work with Dingell to understand, document and share his legacy as the longest-serving member in the history of the U.S. Congress.
The Restorative Justice Summit, organized by UM-Dearborn, on April 29 at the Macomb Correctional Facility shared how this alternate way of handling criminal behavior can be beneficial for all involved. The event, where Michigan Supreme Court Justice Richard Bernstein gave the keynote address, was a follow-up to the October 2014 Restorative Practices Summit that took place on campus.

So when Parrish saw an opportunity to work on a project that could aid tissue research and cell creation through the CECS 2015 Senior Design Competition, the dual mechanical and biological engineering major looked forward to the challenge.

On May 8,UM-Dearborn's athletics department held the inaugural All-Sports Banquet to celebrate the athletic and academic achievements of student-athletes. Student-athletes and their families, faculty and staff, participated in the event, with four team and 10 individual awards given.

There has been significant progress on the redesign of the UM-Dearborn website and transition from the current content management system (TYPO3) to Drupal.
