Communications and Marketing Specialist
Did you know these fun facts about Jingjing (Jessica) Luo?
  • I started working as a student worker in Global Initiatives during my first winter break at Miami. I worked 40 hours per week. Even though I am new here, I have so many opportunities to learn new things. For example, I created many videos for Global Initiatives marketing like MUDEC Student Life, Study Abroad is for Me student videos, etc. There are more videos coming soon, please keep an eye on our YouTube channel.
  • Before I started working for Global Initiatives, I was a big fan of Global Initiatives. I participated in the Global Buddies and Global Neighbors programs, Tea Tasting event, annual Chinese Festival, and I volunteered to teach Chinese.
  • I started my own video channel on a Chinese website on November 7, 2018 to share my life at Miami. Even some 2019 new incoming students recognized me when they came to Miami. Now the viewers are more than 60,000.
  • I can use chopsticks by both left and right hands.
  • I wear Han costume (a traditional Chinese clothing) nearly every day in fall.
  • I've stayed in America for a full year. I have not gone back to China yet.
