March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Part of what makes CalABLE so special is that a CalABLE account can support a person where they're at. Throughout childhood to adulthood, a CalABLE account can foster independence and help your needs be met, all while allowing you to keep your disability benefits. Congratulations to the CalABLE account holders selected from the first round of the Express Yourself Campaign

Thank you to everyone who submitted an artwork piece so far for the Express Yourself campaign! You have until MARCH 31st to send in artwork or if you already sent artwork in, you still have a chance at having your art selected.

For our first round of submissions, we selected eight amazing artworks to showcase at the LA Abilities Expo! Congratulations to our eight account holders:

Reminder: Email us your artwork (photo, drawing, or painting) at calable@treasurer.ca.gov by Mach 31, 2025. The selected submission(s) will receive a $200 contribution in their CalABLE account.

CalABLE had an amazing time at the LA Abilities Expo

CalABLE sponsored the 2025 LA Abilities Expo, continuing our commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families in achieving financial independence. Some highlights from the Expo included:

California State Treasurer Fiona Ma officially opening the Expo with a ribbon-cutting ceremony
Two workshops led by Executive Director Thomas Martin
Live enrollments at the CalABLE booth
