Board Retreat

Our Wine Road Board of Directors held a half-day retreat at the Applewood Inn, to focus solely on our three annual events. They will continue to fine-tune ideas to elevate and reenergize the events and as decisions are made, they will be shared via our weekly Member Memo.  Our meeting was followed by lunch and a tour at Korbel Winery.

Press Meetings

Beth hit the road to San Diego with Mysty Stewart, our PR and Social Media Manager to meet with press and share our stories. We held two productive meetings, connecting with 2 writers and 2 influencers. We already have a story in the works! Links will be shared via the Weekly Member Memo once articles are published.

VinDiego

Wine Road hosted a table at VinDiego to give out maps and connect with attendees about visiting our little corner of the world.
This gave us an opportunity to add hundreds of names to our mailing list. We also shared information about the Alaska Airlines direct flight to San Diego and their Wine Flies Free program.
2000 attendees strolled around the festival, all carrying Wine Road bags...their check-in gift at the door.  Destination Wine Road, Sonoma County, CA

Lodging Meeting

The Best Western Dry Creek Inn hosted our Wine Road lodging members for a brainstorm session. We discussed ways to connect lodgings with wineries and learned how Airbnb is affecting our members. Mainly we discussed opportunities for our lodgings to participate in Wine & Food Affair. We walked away with some great ideas to work with going forward.

Updated Tasting Pass

Debbie connected with our winery members to update and edit our Tasting Pass program. A few choose to drop out, but about 20 more joined.
We're happy to now have 72 wineries on board, up from 60. We hope to have the updated list online by the end of NEXT week.
