Make the Most of Your Spring!
Spring semester is here! This is an important time to look ahead at what you can do to best prepare yourself for law school. Make sure to start by registering to attend the new Pre-Law Orientation and other upcoming events.

Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 12 to 1 pm ET

New to pre-law? The Spring pre-law orientation is a “must” event for Tufts students considering law school. Topics covered include pre-law major, course offerings, skills needed for law school, application timeline, diversity, etc. All class years will benefit from this informative event. Please note: you are encouraged to attend the pre-law orientation prior to scheduling an individual appointment with the Tufts Pre-Law Advisor. All are welcome.

Suffolk Law Summer Pre-Law Pipeline Program
Suffolk Law in downtown Boston is currently accepting applications for the Summer Pre-Law Pipeline Program, a free two-week program for students and alumni applying to law school in 2022 or 2023. Priority admission will be given to college juniors and seniors from diverse or nontraditional backgrounds.
This immersive program is held in person from June 6-17, 2022 at Suffolk Law from 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays.  
Participants will take 30-hours of legal classes that mirror the first-year law school experience. They will also get one-on-one law school application assistance and meet practicing lawyers.  
The application deadline is March 1, 2022, and a virtual information session about the program will be offered on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 1 PM (EST).

Tufts Lawyers Association Law Day on the Hill
Balancing the Scales of Justice in Criminal Law
Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 6 - 7:30 pm ET
The Tufts Lawyers Association invites students and alumni to the 20th annual Law Day on the Hill taking place virtually on Thursday, March 10, 2022.The evening begins with initial introductions and a panel discussion focusing on current issues in criminal law and procedure. The discussion will include panelists sharing their experiences and insights on policy and practical issues related to criminal law.  The evening wraps up with plenty of time for all to speak about their careers, law school and other topics.

Joining a student organization is a great way to get involved in campus life, build leadership skills and meet like-minded individuals. Undocumented Lawyers Panel Discussion

Friday, March 26, 2022, from 7 PM to 8:30 pm ET

Undocumented immigrants are eligible to attend law school and become licensed attorneys in some states. This virtual panel features attorneys who are or were undocumented. The panelists will share their personal journeys, struggles as a result of their immigration status and advice about how you too can achieve your dreams and become a lawyer. This event is co-sponsored by the Hispanic National Bar Association and United for Social Justice. Register via email at contact@u4sj.org.
