Prepare for Fall 2025 Registration |
Students in the Class of 2028 can begin registering for fall 2025 classes on Friday, April 18 at 8:00 AM CT. Take these steps to prepare:
|
- Schedule time to meet with your advisor to clarify academic and professional goals, better understand curriculum requirements, and build a successful academic plan. You can view your advisors in Workday by searching "View My Support Network."
- View instructions for registering for classes in Workday.

Here are five campus events, programs, and activities you need to know this month.

Celebrate the completion of your first year at WashU! Join us on the South 40 Swamp on Thursday, April 24 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM CT to enjoy free Pappy's Smokehouse barbecue, music, games, giveaways, and a photo booth. The Class of 2028 can also pick up WILD wristbands, while supplies last.
Faculty, staff, and student leaders who helped make your first year successful will also be recognized. Award winners will be announced on the Student Transitions & Engagement Instagram from Monday, April 21 to Wednesday, April 23.

Student Transitions & Engagement will hand out free snow cones to first-year, transfer, and exchange students at the South 40 Clocktower on Thursday, April 3 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM CT as a reminder of the upcoming deadline to drop or withdraw from classes and change a course's grading option to "C" (credit). In case of rain, visit us in Ursa's Fireside. Stop by and pick up your snow cone while supplies last!

Workday Student is WashU's new home for academic and student information, including student records, course listings, advising, and registration. Students will register for fall 2025 courses in Workday. Learn how to register in Workday ahead of your registration date and find out about other key changes for this academic year.

Summer Internship Fund Applications are Open |
The Center for Career Engagement Summer Internship Fund provides financial awards to undergraduate students to help offset the costs associated with completing unpaid or low-paid summer internships. The first-round application deadline is April 15.
|
|
|
|
WILD, WashU's annual spring concert, will take place in Mudd Field on April 25. The largest student-run event at WashU, each WILD features a headlining musical artist and free food and drinks. Past artists have included Flo Milli, Chance the Rapper, Jason Derulo, and Carly Rae Jepsen. This event is free for WashU students.

Located east of WashU's campus, Old North is a neighborhood rich with history to explore.
No trip to Old North is complete without a stop at Crown Candy, the oldest soda fountain in St. Louis, which opened its doors in 1913. Enjoy a deli sandwich and sip on an infamous Crown Candy milkshake. Feeling brave? Finish 5 milkshakes in 30 minutes and get them for free, plus a t-shirt and your name on the Wall of Winners.
You can also head to the Griot Museum of Black History to learn about the rich stories of Black history and culture in the Midwest. Permanent exhibit galleries include life-size wax sculptures of historical Black figures such as Josephine Baker, Madam C.J. Walker, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and more.
Enjoy art installations at UrbArts Gallery, a nonprofit arts organization in the Black Arts Movement tradition, and explore Firecracker Press's letterpress work on 100% locally-made paper recycled from cotton t-shirts.

Roaring: Art, Fashion, and the Automobile in France, 1918-1939: Daily from April 12 to July 27, Saint Louis Art Museum, view hours
This exhibit explores the transformative role of the automobile in pre–World War II France and highlights innovations across art and industry by those who embraced it as a provocative expression of the modern age. It will feature wide range of paintings, photographs, sculpture, furniture, films, fashion, textiles, and 12 historic automobiles.

Animals Aglow: Wednesdays - Sundays through April 17 from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM CT
Experience the Saint Louis Zoo at twilight amidst the luminous glow of 60 towering lanterns depicting animals, plants and traditional Chinese elements. Tickets are available at the Saint Louis Zoo website.
- Springtime History Walking Tour: April 5, 12, 18, 24, and 30 from 10:00 AM - Noon CT, Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum
Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum is offering two-hour walking tours of its grounds. Join a master guide on one of the free tours to learn about the history and horticulture of the grounds, along with the intriguing figures who call it home.
