Terry Stone Puts Safety and Great Customer Service First
Terry Stone (he/him) with SP Plus Corporation received two nominations for his commitment to customer service.
The first came from a PDX employee who called to compliment the employee shuttle driver for exceptional service. She said the driver was polite, respectful and "just a good man." She couldn't say enough about his professionalism and courtesy.
The second nomination came from Karen Tse, Alaska Airlines customer service agent:
"Terry drove me and two other employees to the parking lot. Before he turned onto Alderwood, he found a knocked down road sign and a car bumper in the middle of the lane. He called the bus dispatch and reported it, then he stepped out of his driver's seat and moved the two items onto the middle median. He kept us and other drivers safe and was professional and caring."

Alaska Launches Seasonal, Daily Flight Between PDX and New Orleans
Alaska Airlines is continuing to expand the destinations it flies to from PDX with the launch of the first nonstop flight to New Orleans beginning in Jan. 2025. The daily service will operate seasonally through spring and includes Mardi Gras, New Orleans' largest annual celebration. "Alaska's continued investment in PDX is great news for our travel community. Until now, New Orleans was one of the largest U.S. markets without a nonstop from PDX," Port of Portland Chief Aviation Officer Dan Pippenger shared. "Tens of thousands of travelers already fly between these two great cities every year, and we expect that number to only grow with this new nonstop service."
