FRANK SESNO STEPPING DOWN AS SMPA DIRECTOR TO FOCUS ON PLANET FORWARD, CLIMATE CHANGE, AND MEDIA PROJECTS.
Over the holiday break, Frank Sesno sent a note to students and faculty letting them know that after 11 years at SMPA he will be stepping down from the director's position after this spring semester. In his note, he expressed that he has various writing and video projects that he wants to focus on and is looking forward to dedicating more of his time to Planet Forward.
"I am intensely proud of SMPA and what we have built here. The exceptional research, teaching, learning, convening, and community create a unique and powerful experience," Frank Sesno said.
He will go on sabbatical for a year starting this summer and then return to the faculty after that to teach and concentrate on his passion projects. An announcement will be made in the coming weeks about the interim director.
