Legacy: 58 Years of YSU Art to open its
fall season
|
The John J. McDonough Museum of Art, Youngstown State University's Center of Contemporary Art, is excited to announce the opening of our fall season with Legacy: 58 Years of YSU Art on display from September 3–October 26. The exhibition which includes projects by current and past Department of Art faculty and staff is an exploration of innovation and tradition that imparts new vision and re-investigates long standing practices in the fields of Art and Design. A reception will be held on Friday, September 6 from 5-7pm at the Museum.
These artists not only share their knowledge and expertise with the next generation but also use their creative energies to maintain a high level of professional practice creating works that have been on display throughout the country. This is an opportunity for the campus and local community to celebrate these visual artists who for over fifty years have dedicated their talents to Department of Art helping to inspire the future of the arts in our region. The artists included in this exhibition are Samuel Adu-Poku, Claudia Berlinski, Joy Christiansen Erb, Amy Copeland, Dragana Crnjak, Debra DeGregorio, Joseph D’Uva, Chauncey Hay, Ashley Johnston, Alyssa Keil, Russell Maddick, Missy McCormick, Christine McCullough, Richard Mitchell, Greg Moring, Michael Moseley, Michelle Nelson, Tony Nicholas, John Guy Petruzzi, Stephanie Rhodes, Susan Russo, Dana Sperry and Amanda Spinosa.
