BE A SMALL BUSINESS OR CORPORATE SPONSOR: One area we're excited to grow is building meaningful partnerships with local businesses and organizations. There are so many creative ways your company can support YoungLives while making a direct impact on teen moms and their babies.
Own a food truck or restaurant? Consider providing a meal for one of our club nights or special events. Have a children's boutique or retail shop? You could help stock or sponsor our donation closet, where moms can shop for essentials for themselves and their little ones. Have access to office, meeting, or event space? You could help us host a community gathering, volunteer training, or fundraiser.
These are just a few examples. We'd love to explore how your business's unique gifts, resources, and expertise could help us care for young families and share the hope of Jesus through YoungLives.

PROVIDE A MEAL: Every YoungLives event starts with time around the table. We recognize that many of the families we serve face food insecurity at times, so providing them with a full meal when we gather is a tangible way to help meet a basic need. It is also a chance to break down barriers and fellowship with each other well. We need people committed to preparing and bringing meals at all Monday night events. This involves preparing or picking up the meal, bringing it to the church, setting it up, then potentially helping serve and clean up if your time allows.

VOLUNTEER FOR CHILDCARE: Childcare is provided at every YoungLives event. Many times adolescent parents are doing it alone, and would not be able to attend YoungLives if they could not bring their children. We need people to volunteer to come watch the babies, so that their parent can hear about Jesus. Childcare volunteers could also be called on for transportation help at times if they are willing to go through all the appropriate screening/training needed to drive for Young Life. Childcare occurs at Monday night events.
Age Requirements:
-14-15 yo must serve with a parent
-16+ can serve on their own

BE A MENTOR: We need women to commit to loving and building friendships with expectant/parenting mothers, with the hope that it would lead to a 1-on-1 mentor relationship. This is a one-year commitment running August through July. You get to live life with an adolescent mother and her child(ren) and show her the heart of God. You engage in regular contact work, and with the other mentors are responsible for putting on Club, Campaigners, and occasional family/group gatherings. We ask that mentors be available on Monday nights for YoungLives events consistently through the entire year.
|
BE A RISE LEADER: RISE is the program we graduate our girls into once they turn 21 if they are interested in staying connected and growing deeper in their faith. This is different than being a mentor, and these leaders are not required to attend Monday night events. These leaders have a heart for deep discipleship and a very intentional one-on-one relationship with our moms age 21-24. **Currently we are specifically looking for at least one person who is fluent in Spanish**
