SMFA Student Riso Print Contest: To celebrate the 150th anniversary of SMFA, students are invited to submit proposals to design and produce a limited-edition three‑color Risograph. Selected artists will receive $500 commission.

Call for submissions: The SMFA 2026 Student Media Arts Annual celebrates student work in sound, film, video, animation, performance, and video installation. Juried selections will be screened at SMFA on Friday, April 17. Awards for best student work will be presented after the screening, followed by food and revelry! Deadline: April 3 at 12 p.m.

Join the University Chaplaincy on its spring Interfaith Field Trip Series to St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Cambridge, MA on Wednesday, April 1 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and the secular Jewish cultural organization Boston Worker’s Circle on Monday, April 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You can sign up for one or both. All travel and meal costs are covered.

Artist Yu-Wen Wu Discusses Her Work
When: Friday, April 3 at 9 a.m.
Where: B209, SMFA Boston campus
Born in Taipei Taiwan, Wu’s subjectivity as an immigrant is central to her artwork, creating an intersection of personal narrative and global discourse. Wu works in a broad range of media, including drawing, ceramics, and installation.

Two Artists Talking is an artist book of interviews with Boston-area artists. The interviews were conducted by SMFA students.

Wearable Sculpture Workshop, led by Annamariah Knox
When: Tuesday, April 7 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Tufts Craft Center, Lewis Hall, Medford/Somerville Campus
This workshop will use DIY materials to create wearable sculptures that extend, exaggerate, transform, re-territorialize, and augment the body. Materials provided.

Professor of the Practice Neda Moridpour's collaborative art project with the Hamdel Futurist Collaborative, Bodies as Archive: Collective Witnessing & Creative Disobedience, is featured in the Cummings Arts Center Gallery Exhibition. The work is presented as part of All Too Human, the 2026 Ammerman Center Triennial on Arts & Technology at Connecticut College. The exhibit is free and open to the public from March 26 through 28, with parts of the exhibition on view through April 24. Moridpour also leads a lecture in collaboration with Rashin Fahandej on Saturday, March 28, as part of the symposium's programming.
