Leaning into what kids' grapple with
Leaning into what kids' grapple with
Made For This Since 1941
NWA teen moms, their babies and their YoungLives mentors spent this past weekend at Clearwater Cove on Table Rock Lake for YoungLives camp

Friends,
If we could see behind the masks of many of the teenagers and college students in our community, we would see pain and ugliness. Just this week, our leaders have walked with kids through confusion and suffering:
A 16-year old under house arrest for possession of cocaine; a 14 year old who's family can't provide 3 meals a day; another junior high kid who's only meal is lunch at school; high school kids at a house party with no adult supervision; one 14 year old who has kissed as many girls as boys and is wondering about sexual identity; another who's parents struggle with drug addiction; another who has a dad struggling with his sexual identity; one junior high kid's promising sexual favors through social media; a college student trying to come to terms with a mental illness; adolescents of all ages grappling with social events....
Please pray.  Pray for the generation. Pray the body of Christ will lean into the very real issues kids are dealing with. And pray that God would grant us wisdom and favor within the adolescent culture of our schools. Pray for our leaders to bear the burden. Most are college students grappling with life themselves.
And in the middle of it all, we had YoungLives weekend camp, where teen moms and their YoungLives mentors had the opportunity to interact intentionally over the truth that the God who created them loves them like crazy and that He can bring them freedom.
We are deeply grateful for your commitment to the Kingdom and this generation!
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5)
God's Best,
