Domestic Violence Awareness Month |
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. A lot of the time we are drawn to inaction simply because we do not know what we can do to help. Thankfully, Next Step Domestic Violence Project has an online resource for us to learn how to take action.

Join us in Welcoming Jimmy Merrill to our office staff! |
We are pleased to announce that Jimmy Merrill has joined the Ellsworth Center frontline staff. Jimmy is an alumni of UMA and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science with a minor in History. Since he has been through many of the same challenges current students are facing, he brings a student’s perspective to the Center’s frontline staff. Jimmy can share with students, strategies that he found helpful while pursuing his own degree at UMA. Jimmy also has a degree in Culinary Arts and is looking forward to sharing ways to stretch a student's grocery budget and sharing recipes that will fit within that budget.
