On Thursday, October 26 you received an invitation to participate in the Vanderbilt Survey on Organizational Research Climate from the National Center for Principled Leadership & Research Ethics (NCPRE, ethicsctr@illinois.edu). This survey assesses the environment for responsible research practices and captures aspects of the interpersonal climate on campus, including relationships between students, postdocs, and their mentors.
Responses to this survey will yield important insights to guide future research policy at Vanderbilt, and I write to encourage you to participate. You received an individual link to access the survey, so please refer to that email for access.
We want to hear from you so that your perspective as postdocs can inform new, proactive efforts to guide research integrity and compliance and enhance support for mentorship. Your insights are instrumental in sustaining the excellence of our research and discovery efforts, which are fundamental to Vanderbilt’s mission.
If you have questions about the survey or experience any trouble logging in, please contact the NCPRE at ethicsctr@illinois.edu or (217) 333-1416. You can also learn more about survey methodology at https://ncpre.csl.illinois.edu.
I hope you will join me in responding to the survey; your participation will be deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
C. André Christie-Mizell Vice Provost for Graduate Education Director, Office of Postdoctoral Affairs Dean of the Graduate School Centennial Professor of Sociology
