Immigration Workshops with International Student and Scholar Services

ISSS and OPA will host a series of workshops on Thursday, October 23, covering a range of immigration topics. All sessions will be held in the Sarratt Center, Room 325/327. Space is limited, so please RSVP for the sessions you plan to attend. This will be an in-person-only event. The full schedule is listed below:

Immigration Options after OPT/AT
10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. | Sarratt 325/327
Learn about options to stay in the U.S. after completing optional practical training (OPT) or academic training (AT), including H-1B and other employer-sponsored visa pathways.

Self-Petitioned Pathways to Permanent Residency
1:00 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. | Sarratt 325/327
Not all pathways to permanent residency require sponsorship. Learn more about self-petitioned pathways to permanent residency in this session, including national interest waivers (NIW’s) and EB-1A's for those of Extraordinary Ability. This workshop will not cover University-sponsored pathways to a green card.

Visa Updates
3:00 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. | Sarratt 325/327
There have been many recent changes to F, J, and H-1B visa processing and policies. This session will give a general overview of some of those changes from the perspective of an immigration attorney.
