Lighted Christmas ParadeJoin us for the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County’s annual Lighted Christmas Parade, held the first Saturday in December at 5:00 pm in Downtown Clarksville. This beloved evening tradition fills the streets with lighted floats, music, and holiday cheer as the parade travels from Austin Peay through Historic Downtown.
This year’s theme is “Christmas Through the Decades,” so come early, bring the family, and enjoy kid friendly activities in Public Square from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.

Christmas on the CumberlandStep into the magic of the season at Christmas on the Cumberland, Clarksville’s beloved riverfront light display that transforms McGregor Park into a glowing holiday wonderland. From November 22, 2025 through January 2, 2026, thousands of sparkling lights line the riverwalk, creating a perfect backdrop for family outings, date nights or a peaceful evening stroll.
The display is open daily from 5-10 p.m Sunday through Thursday and 5-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Take in the sights, snap photos, and soak in the holiday cheer. Make plans to visit this seasonal favorite and experience the kind of holiday magic you will want to return to every year. Food vendors will be on site Fridays through Sundays, offering sweet treats for visitors to enjoy while viewing the displays.

Nerf Wars - Parents Night OutGive yourself a well deserved break and let the kids dive into two hours of nonstop action at Parents' Night Out: Nerf Wars. Kids ages 6 to 12 will take on team battles, challenges and free play in a fully supervised arena stocked with targets, obstacles, pizza and snacks. We provide the gear and blasters, and participants are welcome to bring their own as long as they are not high powered or mechanized. Spots are limited and this one fills fast, so grab a place while you can.

Teen Rec Night - Snow BallDress in your best and get ready for The Snow Ball, a special Teen Rec Night filled with dancing, music, friends, food and plenty of winter themed fun. Teens can catch a free ride from either Kleeman or Crow Recreation Centers, with buses running on a set schedule and returning later that evening, or they can be dropped off and picked up at Burt-Cobb Rec Center. Free food will be served, and all participants must follow dress guidelines for a safe and comfortable night. Encourage your teen to grab a spot and enjoy a night they will not want to miss. If your teen does not already have an account, one must be created, and register before they are permitted to participate in the activity.

Rec Centers & More Programs!We have some amazing programs coming up at Clarksville Parks and Recreation, and spots are filling fast. If you have been wanting something fun, creative, and energizing to add to your week, this is the moment to jump in.
From hands on art experiences for teens and beginners to sensory rich activities for our youngest participants, each program is designed to spark creativity, curiosity, and connection. Younger children can explore new sensations in our Tiny Hands Big Senses sessions, while adults can unwind inside the Color Lounge with relaxing, expressive projects. No matter your age or skill level, there is something here you do not want to miss.
