A group of Vandy MPH students attended the Tennessee Public Health Student Association (TPHA) student networking reception as part of September's annual TPHA conference. Recent MPH graduate Mary-Margaret Fill, MD, MPH, presented the conference's kenote address, "OneHealth in Tennessee," and received the 2023 William Schaffner, MD, Public Health Hero award from TPHA (photo below).

Research fellow and second-year MPH health policy student Mariam Saad combines her passions for sustanability and plastic surgery to reconstruct approaches to silicone implant recycling. 

Second-year Vanderbilt Master of Public Health student Joshua Woods has earned a 2023 David A. Winston Health Policy Scholarship. The program recognizes students’ outstanding early-career contributions to health policy. Awardees demonstrated deep interest in and commitment to health policy in addition to academic achievement.
