4 Things to Know This Week |

Labor Day = Monday classes are canceled. No classes on Monday, Sept. 7. If you're leaving campus for the long weekend, make sure your room is secured before leaving.
- Add/drop deadlines are coming up. Still thinking about changing a class? Check your schedule now, not the night before the deadline.

Football is back. If it's your first game day in Lawrence, expect traffic, crowds, and lots of people asking where they're supposed to be. Plan ahead.

Thinking about a room change? Please note that room changes are paused during the first two weeks of classes. Information about the process can be found at housing.ku.edu/roomchange.

Strong roommate relationships start with communication. This week, set aside 15 minutes to discuss:

- Sleep schedules
- Study habits
- Guest expectations
- Cleaning responsibilities
- Shared items

A quick conversation now can prevent misunderstandings later.

Academic Success Starts at Home | As coursework begins to ramp up:

- Create a weekly study schedule
- Visit instructors during office hours
- Attend class regularly
- Find a study space that works for you
- Form study groups with classmates or hallmates

Small habits established early in the semester can often make the biggest difference later.
