Dear parents and families:
Only a few more days until move-in! This is such a special time and we’re thrilled to be part of this milestone with your family.
We know that dropping off your student at college is a moment filled with pride, excitement and for some, a few tears. It marks the beginning of an incredible new chapter—for them and for you. We’re here to support you all every step of the way.
We’ve included some important last-minute details to help you prepare for what’s ahead during Fall Welcome and Parent & Family Orientation.
If you couldn’t RSVP for Parent & Family Orientation, don’t worry—your student can let us know you’re here when they check in on Move-in Day.
If your student wants to participate in the optional “In the Lou” off-campus experience during Fall Welcome, be sure to complete the necessary waiver. For students under 18 who will not turn 18 before August 22, you’ll need to sign this under-18 waiver.
I look forward to seeing you at move-in, at the welcome toast with Chancellor Martin and at the Parents & Families as Partners event. I especially want to remind you that our 2025 Student Convocation will be held on August 23 at 7 p.m. This event is for new students only but families are invited to watch the live stream on this website.
If you have questions about move-in, Fall Welcome or Parent & Family Orientation, please contact my team at families@wustl.edu or by phone, 314-935-5040 (toll-free: 844-935-5040).
Warmly,
Anna “Dr. G” Gonzalez

| Remaining checklist requirements
|
|
|
There are some critical tasks that students must complete to be able to move-in. If the following tasks are not completed by the time your student arrives to campus, they will be delayed in checking in to their residence hall.
More details about each of these important tasks can be found on the Before You Arrive Checklist. The items below had a deadline of August 1. If your student has not completed one or more of these items, they should do so ASAP.

|
|
Your student has a busy schedule during Fall Welcome. On the evening your student moves in, they have a required Residential Floor Meeting at 8 p.m. (Friday, August 15 or Saturday, August 16; your student only attends one on the evening they move in).
On Sunday morning, your student has a required Residential Community Meeting at 10 a.m. and a required Community Meeting at 7 p.m. We encourage you to say your final goodbyes before the 7 p.m. meeting that your student needs to attend.
Beginning Monday morning, your student will be busy exploring academic life, community living and St. Louis.
