GVSU Internal Deadline - August 16

Tell interested students and alums to email Fellowships to learn more! The Fulbright U.S. Student application cycle is OPEN, with two tracks: the Study/Research (S/R) and the English Teaching Assistantship (ETA). The S/R funds a year of Masters-level study in the UK, Ireland, etc. The ETA (the major track for recent college grads) funds an academic year abroad as an assistant teacher for English-language students - a great gap-year experience. Internal prelim GVSU deadline: August 16. External IIE deadline: Oct. 8th (after GV review & feedback).

Conflicts of Interest and Commitment (COI/COC) Disclosure Forms Reminder

As a reminder, COI/COC forms filed with the ORCI are to be updated: 1) annually for as long as you have a pending or active externally-funded submission or award with the Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence (including the Office of Sponsored Programs and Technology Commercialization Office), and 2) within 30 days of the discovery or acquisition of a new or increased COI/COC.

Q: How do I allow someone else access to my IRB form to help me complete it?

A: In OneAegis, the person who initially opens the form is the “owner” of the form, and they will have “edit, manage, and submit” rights. They can grant others access to the form by clicking the blue “Collaborators” button on the top of any page in a form. This will open a pop-up window where they can select the user they wish to add and assign them rights (view, edit, manage, and/or submit). Anyone assigned with “manage” rights will be able to add other users to the form. Note that the user being added must already be registered in OneAegis. If they are not already registered, they can be added using the Contact Look-Up/Add Contact Form.

NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) Program

Are you considering a submission to the National Science Foundation's Research Traineeship (NRT) program this fall? GVSU can submit a total of two proposals to this program each year (including proposals where GVSU is a subaward to another institution), so if you are thinking of applying, or are part of a team at another university that may apply, please send Marsely Kehoe in the Office of Sponsored Research a brief description (no more than one page) of your proposal by July 31, 2024.
