We are excited to announce our new series, Read with Lakers, a virtual opportunity to connect through books. In this series, programming related to the selected book promotes the sharing of new thoughts, lifelong learning, and an opportunity to have fun reading something together. Yamiche Alcindor, award-winning journalist and White House correspondent for PBS Newshour, will give the keynote address during West Michigan's commemoration of the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The virtual program is free and open to the public. More information about Alcindor, the January 18 event, and other GVSU events to commemorate Dr. King's life are online at gvsu.edu/mlk.

Congratulations and a big thank you to our 2020 Alumni Champions! During the year we welcomed teams of volunteers representing the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Inclusion & Equity, Padnos College of Engineering & Computing, and Student Senate. Over 130 Alumni Champions participated and raised $70,000 from nearly 200 alumni donors. Learn more about what it means to be a GVSU Alumni Champion!
