Dear Graduate School Community,
It is an honor to welcome you back for the 2022-2023 school year. I would also like to give a special welcome to the 600 new students who are beginning their studies this fall. In 2023 Vanderbilt will be celebrating its Sesquicentennial. While much has changed since Vanderbilt was founded almost 150 years ago, the common goal of the university has remained constant: the university aims to help you find your full potential both inside and outside of the classroom.
The Graduate School is here to support you every step of the way, both personally and professionally. The Graduate and Postdoc Academic Success (GPAS) program offers workshops on self-efficacy, motivation, mindset, and work/life balance. The Russell G. Hamilton Graduate Leadership Institute (GLI) is hosting workshops on inclusive leadership, negotiation, and feedback. There are also dozens of resources available through our campus partners.
I hope you take advantage of all the enriching opportunities our community has to offer. I look forward to connecting with you. Do not hesitate to reach out--the Graduate School is here to support each of you on your scholarly journies. Best wishes for the semester ahead!
Best,
