NATHAN BAER


Nathan is a first-year PhD student in Sport Management and a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Overall, he has spent six years working in the sport industry as both a high school wrestling coach and a ticket sales executive. During that time, he discovered that sport employees are unique in their commitment to their craft, and he became committed to examining the motivations and personalities of sport stakeholders. As a result, his primary research interests include sport organizational behavior and human-resource development. Additionally, he explores youth sport development as a minor area of study.

TAYLOR BECK

Taylor is from Kalama, Washington and attended Washington State University – Vancouver. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in biology in spring of 2019. While in school, Taylor worked as an assistant high school basketball coach and spent time volunteering with the Southwest Washington Special Olympics swim team as an instructor. In deciding on her career, she wanted to continue her love for the sports environment and expand her opportunities to be a mentor to athletes. Taylor hopes to work in college athletics and expand her experience in the vast world of sports to reach her goal of becoming a director of operations in women’s college basketball.

BETHANI GLOVER


Bethani is from Gonzales, Louisiana. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in the Spring of 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Bethani will be completing her Master’s Degree here at LSU this December and hopes to pursue a career in Community Relations. For the past year, Bethani has worked with the LSU Geaux Team through Event Management. Bethani currently works with GMG Management, a management consulting agency. Her passion for sports and giving back to others lead her to pursue community relations. “I have always loved sports and my love for community service matched it. Choosing this path, I get the best of both worlds by creating events and programs that give back to the community. I am excited to see what this journey holds and the lives I impact.”

JUSTIN JACKSON

Justin is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with his Bachelor's degree in May 2019. Justin is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Sport Management. His goal is to pursue a career in football operations. During his undergraduate studies and time at LSU, Justin has worked at the collegiate level as an intern for the Southeastern Football Team in day-to-day operations and on field duties and interscholastic level as an Assistant Coach. Justin also owns, hosts, and operates his own sports podcast called the Justin Time Sports podcast and Twitter page to share his insight in sports and have another avenue for his passion. "I always knew I wanted to be a difference maker in athletics, specifically football. Through experiences I have had, it reaffirmed my goals and passions to be a leader in the world of football."

BLAKE PATRICK


Blake is a first year PhD student specializing in Sport Management. Patrick has prior experience in the sport industry working as a student manager for UCLA Baseball. He also served as the Director of Player Development for UCLA Baseball, assisting in the day-to-day operations of the program. Blake earned his Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Management from the LSU Online program. He is passionate about the use of Sport for Development and Peace (SDP) to drive systemic change around the world. Specifically, Blake wants to increase environmental sustainability through sport and will conduct research on sport, social change, and environmental sustainability.

JAVIER VILLANUEVA

Javier is born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended the University of New Mexico and obtained his Bachelor’s degree in both Criminology and Spanish in 2016. After this accomplishment, he decided that since sports are his passion, he would apply to begin his Master’s program. He wanted to do so at a prestigious and sport-oriented university, and decided on Louisiana State University. Javier will be graduating in the Fall of 2020. He currently works at a local and popular brewery and has plans to obtain his real estate license. He also hopes to someday work in the NFL as a part of a team’s media relations department, to showcase his people skills and hardworking ethic. “LSU really molded and developed me into the man I am today, and also further supported my love for sports and the NFL specifically. I hope I can one day visit the campus and help out in any way I can.”

AARON BOSEMAN


Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Aaron graduated from LSU in 2017, earning his master's in sports management while also serving as a graduate assistant in the Event Management division of the LSU Athletic Department. Before LSU he graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Kinesiology in 2014 and was on the operations staff of MLS club D.C. United for their 2014 & 2015 seasons. 

He resides in Winston-Salem, NC having joined Wake Forest Athletics in September 2017. He is the event & facility manager for men's and women's soccer and baseball. He is also the field manager for football and has been an integral part of the athletic department’s response to Covid-19. 

“LSU was a once in a lifetime experience for me with excellent academic opportunities & instruction in tandem with one of the country’s premier athletic departments. It truly changed my life.”

SAVANNAH FRENCH


Savannah French from Long Beach, Mississippi graduated from LSU in 2016 with an MS in Kinesiology after previously earning a BA in Communication Studies and Broadcast Journalism from The University of Southern Mississippi.

For two years Savannah served as Football Operations Assistant for LSU’s former head coach, Les Miles. Upon graduation from LSU she accepted a recruiting position with Ole Miss and subsequently became Director of Football Operations and Recruiting Coordinator for Jones College. Currently, she is on the recruiting team at The University of Alabama serving as Marketing Coordinator. Recently Savannah was selected to Tuscaloosa’s “Top 40 Under 40.”

“LSU and the Sport Management Program were instrumental in laying the foundation for my successful career as well as providing me with memories and experiences I will always treasure. LSU gave me the tools to forge a rewarding career as a woman in a male-dominated industry. I’ve never looked back.”
