National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer was on Thursday, May 7.  Please take time this week to pray for our church family, our community, our country and our world.
Then Jesus told His disciples...that they should always pray and not give up.  ~Luke 18:1

Pray for our Church Family
I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in My name, there am I with them. ~ Matthew 18:19-20
  • Pray for Jean Stullich who is dealing with a lot of back pain   Pray that she would be able to find comfort from the pain and arrange for a scheduled date for her surgery soon.  She also needs surgery on her foot, so pray for doctors’ wisdom on the best way and timing to treat them both.
  • Pray for Kandy Oliver as she has upcoming surgery this month.  Pray for a successful outcome and pray for her husband, Ron, to be at peace.
Pray for our Community
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:6-7
  • Pray for those who have lost their jobs or are struggling financially. Help them to rest in the one who is the great Provider. Help them to trust the Lord and may their faith be strengthened.
  • Pray for those in our churches, that we will continue to encourage one another, see and meet needs that are around us and be bold in our witness.
Pray for our Country

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance
(v. 12)
  ~ Psalm 33:12-22
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-4
  • Pray for our leaders, that God would give them His wisdom and guidance as they lead us through this pandemic.
  • Pray that we as a nation would confess our sins, seek His direction and rely on Him instead of ourselves.
Pray for our World
If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. ~ 2 Chronicles 7:14
  • Pray for those who are ill with the coronavirus - pray for them to be comforted while they are healing, pray for no lasting effects on their bodies, pray that they get the medical care that they need, and pray that their healing would not only be physical, but spiritual.
  • Pray for those who are caring for the sick; that God would be their source of rest and hope in such overwhelming times.  Pray also that He would protect them from getting sick.

Then Jesus told His disciples...that they should always pray and not give up
    ~ Luke 18:1
