Since You Asked
I want to go to office hours to see my professor but I’m nervous. What should I do?

First of all, it’s great that you’re thinking of going to office hours! They can be a time to get to know your professor and the work they do, get extra help or insight on class materials, or just to stop in and say hi. In big classes especially, attending office hours can help the professor put a face to a name. The most important thing to remember is that your professors care about you; they want you to succeed in their class (and in life), and they are passionate about the work they do. And, you never know what could happen if you go to office hours; your essay will probably get better, your professor might do research you’re really interested in, or they might have really valuable career (or life) advice to give.
