Field Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, PTO Meeting & Upcoming Dates!
FIELD DAY SPECIAL EDITION!
The end of the year is near and we have two huge needs right now for volunteers: Field Day and Teacher Appreciation Week! See info on both below and help out where you can. We appreciate the huge amount of parent support to make WB the best place to be! Also, a quick reminder that STUDENTS DO NOT REPORT TO SCHOOL TOMORROW, TUESDAY, MAY 5TH!
FIELD DAY VOLUNTEER NEEDS
WB Field Day is coming up on May 15th and this year's theme is BEACH games! Coach Edwards and Coach Dison have an awesome day planned for our kids. To make it a success we need LOTS of parent volunteers! SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER HERE! The sign up is organized in 2 different ways this year - Allowing for some parents volunteer with their child at 50 minute rotations and also so WatchDogs and community volunteers can take half day shifts at particular rotations. Note, all rotations will be on school property this year! You are also welcome to sign up for multiple slots! If a slot is full and it's the only time you can help, come help anyways, we can use the extra people throughout the day.
PLEASE PRIORITIZE VOLUNTEERING WHEN THERE ARE SLOTS BECAUSE WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! There are also slots available for when need help at lunch time delivering pizza to classrooms and at the end of day delivering popsicles for cool down treats.
NOTE: The WatchDOG games held on the WB basketball courts are all led by WatchDOGS again this year so we especially need coverage in this area to facilitate games!
We still need one more 5500w generator for Field Day! If you have one you can lend us, we’d be so grateful. You can email waverlybelmontpto@gmail.com to volunteer your generator!
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
Teacher Appreciation week is THIS WEEK! We know it’s a wild time with lots of asks but we still need a lot of help! There’s an added option to venmo for a gift card and opportunities for in person help as well. Thank you for helping show our teachers and staff we appreciate them!
Calling ALL Parents and Caregivers! Mark your calendars for Monday, May 11th at 5:15 pm and join us for a virtual PTO meeting! School and PTO budget information will be presented along with the 26/27 board and other info! This event is important for ALL parents to attend even if you don't typically volunteer or participate in PTO activities!
