We have BIG plans for 2023!

Leaning on the Board and Staff’s strategic planning done in 2022, we will formalize and implement plans to:

Focus on teachers by utilizing our “new” Program Coordinator, Lisa Byrum, to expand our reach and offer even more professional development opportunities. In January, we are pushing high school economics topics for those kicking off their spring course. We also want to recognize more PreK-12 teachers for their creativity and passion for economic education through our Bessie B. Moore Teacher Awards program.

Focus on students by using statewide competitions to energize them about economics and personal finance. We will expand these opportunities for grades K-8 by adding “Picturing Econ” and “Econ Games” to our playbook. We aim to increase participation in our high school competitions and The Stock Market Game™, which is now available to all Arkansas students at no cost.

Engage Board Members to further define and execute 3 key areas of the strategic plan:

1. Increase awareness within schools and businesses of our work.

2. Explore and implement creative ways to increase program participation.

3. Accelerate professional staff development to cross-pollinate work processes and build bench strength.

We forever remain grateful and thankful to our many, many supporters and partners who help strengthen the work of EA.

We hope you will join us in our efforts by donating, or volunteering, or expanding our reach to more and more teachers and students.
