Set in the village of Talloires, France, the Tufts European Center is an 11th-century former Benedictine monastery that sits nestled between the banks of beautiful Lake Annecy in the foothills of the French Alps. It’s an extraordinary place to learn and grow.
If you are looking for an exceptional international study experience next summer, we invite you to explore Tufts in Talloires and Tufts in Annecy, two outstanding summer programs that take place at the European Center that combine academic learning with cultural immersion in this unforgettable alpine setting!

Tufts in Talloires: May 18 – July 2, 2027 |
Tufts in Talloires is the European Center's intensive, six-week summer-semester program for undergraduate students. Students take two full-credit Tufts courses at the European Center in Talloires and live with a local host family. In addition, students can take advantage of a full calendar of activities organized by the European Center. No French language experience is required.

Tufts in Annecy: July 4 – July 31, 2027 |
Tufts in Annecy is a four-week French language immersion program that offers credit-bearing classes for Tufts French levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 121 or 122. Students live with local host families in and around the city of Annecy, just a few miles from the European Center in Talloires, providing an exceptional opportunity for cultural and linguistic immersion.
