The GSAS Community Fellows Present Game Night
The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Community Fellows will host undergraduate and graduate students for a game night on Tuesday, January 31, at 4–6 p.m. in Aidekman Arts Center Alumnae Lounge. There will be card games, food, Jeopardy, and more! The intention behind the event is to build community and give everyone a warm welcome back to campus for the spring semester.

Ukrainian Scholarship in Times of War: A Conversation with Volodymyr Dubovyk
On Tuesday, January 31, at 5:30–7 p.m. in Cabot Center Rooms 701 and 702, please join us for a conversation and reception with Volodymyr Dubovyk, visiting scholar at Fletcher School and Tufts IR. He is one of the preeminent Ukrainian experts in the fields of international affairs, security studies, and foreign policy analysis. He is Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations and the Director of the Center for International Studies at Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University in Ukraine.

One Health: Addressing the Neglected Tropical Diseases
On Thursday, February 2, at 12 noon–1 p.m. in the Curtis Hall Multipurpose Room, join Environmental Studies for free pizza and a lecture from Karen Kosinski of Tufts' Department of Community Health. Dr. Kosinski will be discussing the One Health approach, which focuses on human health, animal health, and ecosystem health. It also provides an excellent framework to address many of the Neglected Tropical Diseases. We'll be discussing these topics and more.

MLK Day of Community Action
The MLK Day of Community Action will be held on Saturday, February 4, at 11 a.m.–6:30 p.m., beginning in the Alumnae Lounge at the Aidekman Arts Center. Join the Interfaith Ambassador Team of the University Chaplaincy for the 2023 MLK Day of Community Action for community building, workshops on Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy in modern activism, and direct action. Locally sourced lunch and dinner meals will be provided.

Celebrate Matthias Schuetz's Installation as the Karol Family Applied Technology Professor
On Thursday, February 9, at 3:30 p.m., celebrate the establishment of the Karol Family Applied Technology Professorship at Tufts University with a reception and lecture by the inaugural Karol Family Applied Technology Professor, Matthias Scheutz, Ph.D., Ph.D., on "An Overview of the AI, Robotics, and Human-Robot Interaction Research of the HRILab@Tufts."

Academic Reminders
Wednesday, February 1, at 11:59 p.m. is the deadline to ADD a class.
- Consult the instructor if adding a class without having attended to ensure you can catch up on any missed work.
- Waitlists have been purged; enroll in and attend a back-up course if below 12 credits.
- Getting instructor permission or being added to Canvas does not enroll you. You must enroll in SIS.
- If granted permission to enroll, remove the course from your cart, then re-add it and enroll.
- Verify your enrollment on your unofficial transcript.

Undergraduate Orientation Student Coordinators Applications
The orientation team is seeking current full-time undergraduate students to fill two Orientation Coordinator positions for the 2023 Undergraduate Orientation program. We are looking for dedicated, energetic, and organized student leaders to spearhead Tufts Orientation 2023 and welcome incoming students, parents, and families of the Class of 2027. Both positions are full-time for the summer (June 1 through September 4). Apply on Handshake by February 15!

Time to Apply for 2023–2024 Financial Aid
It's time to submit your 2023–2024 financial aid documents. The deadline is April 18.
Log in to SIS to view your personalized list of required financial aid documents and see what Tufts has already received. You can access this list by clicking the Awards and Documents link on the Financial Aid tab.
Please note: additional required documents may be added after you submit your initial application. Please check SIS periodically to see if additional documents are requested.
U.S. citizens and permanent residents: To be considered for federal loans only, submit the FAFSA and complete the request form in SIS (in the Financial Aid portal, select "Federal Aid Only Request" from the menu) to notify our office that you will not apply for Tufts grant aid.

Registration for summer courses is open! The Summer Session at Tufts offers courses, workshops, certificate programs, and bootcamps for a wide variety of topics for those looking to catch up on credits or take a course that doesn't normally fit into your schedule.
