Shawna Churchill's Friendly Service Drives Travelers Back to Dollar
Shawna Churchill (she/her), with Dollar Car Rental was nominated by a PDX traveler:
"I rent cars at PDX almost every weekend and go back to Dollar because their employees go above and beyond, especially Shawna. She remembers me and always greets me by name with a beaming smile. One time I mentioned I had a head cold and without hesitation she grabbed me a cup of tea – her customer service is second to none!"

Map of a route to the new PDX Transportation Plaza.
Be Knowledgeable: New Transportation Plaza
Answering questions from travelers means being knowledgeable, friendly and respectful, especially when helping them navigate new locations. As you know, arriving PDX travelers have a new pickup spot for rideshares and taxis inside Level 1 of the short-term parking garage instead of on the main roadway. Help visitors looking for the Transportation Plaza get there safely by guiding them to the South Tunnel, avoiding all the rain and crosswalks (blue path marked above).
And what's better than being able to toot your own horn about your PDX knowledge? Getting a treat at the same time. On Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon, we'll be celebrating the new space with donuts from Pips and PDX people swag – available until supplies run out. Learn the route and treat yourself!

The Port of Portland Police Department recently awarded Dutch Bros on NE Air Cargo Road with a Community Partnership Award for their proactive role in assisting with a major community policing project. As you can see, the graveyard crew at Dutch Bros were delighted and snapped a pic with Sergeant Austin Adams and Officer Dave Allison, who were also supporting breast cancer awareness with their pink patches.
