Hopkins Dining’s Seasonal Salad Initiative Brings More Local, Fresh Flavors to Campus |
Hopkins Dining has a goal of sourcing 40% of their food locally by 2030. As highlighted in the recently-released Climate & Sustainability Progress Report, they are already at 30%. While this is a huge accomplishment, the Hopkins Dining team saw a way to better support local farmers in a reliable, meaningful way.
Starting this month, Hopkins Dining is offering a seasonal salad special at Tossed in Levering Kitchens. The recipe will change with the seasons, featuring all local ingredients sourced through their local distribution partner, The Common Market. That’s right – every element of the base salad is local!

The Farm Stand is Back on Homewood Campus! |
Hopkins Dining is proud to partner with Richfield Farm, a local, family-owned farm dedicated to keeping regional agriculture thriving. Join us on campus to meet the farmers behind your food and support a more sustainable, community-driven food system.
Offerings will vary based on seasonality. This spring, expect a selection of plants and herbs, with a wider variety of fresh produce available as we move into the summer and fall months.
We encourage guests to bring their own reusable bags as part of our commitment to sustainability. Both cash and card payments will be accepted.

Fall dates will be announced soon.

Help Protect Migrating Birds! |
Spring migration season for birds and bats means more likelihood of these animals experiencing disorientation, colliding with windows and buildings, and dying from impact or exhaustion.
To prevent this, turn off unnecessary lights inside and out!
