The Center for Faculty Excellence would like to invite all interested regular and active status SMHS faculty to submit an education research proposal for up to $15,000 for one project. Proposals are due April 9th, 2025

Dr. Lanre Falusi
Join the CFE as we highlight Dr. Lanre Falusi, she discusses her journey as a pediatric physician and her work within advocacy and healthy equity. Dr. Falusi discusses her research projects and how they contribute to the overall well-being of patients and their families, as well as the institution at large. She provides an update on her participation as a member of the Macy Faculty Scholars Program and the importance of celebrating the little wins in life.

Join us for a webinar on the application of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) in health professional education. Led by faculty members and enriched by perspectives from students, this session will showcase a graduate-level assessment example utilizing GAI.   1. Describe the current landscape of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) in the health professional education context.
  2. Demonstrate ways in which GAI can be integrated into health professional education.
  3. Discuss how an assessment utilizing GAI can be implemented into graduate health professional courses.
  4. Reflect on students’ perspectives regarding the integration of GAI into health professional education.

Exemplary faculty and staff from across GW will lead these workshops to discuss the intersection of technology and academic medicine, with a special emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

CFE Faculty Education Technology Support Office Hours

Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00 p.m. 

Do you need help designing an educational session or using a new teaching technology? Teddy Hristov, the CFE Senior Instructional Designer, holds weekly office hours to support faculty. These office hours are designated for discussing and practicing the best use of educational technology and pedagogical teaching and learning methods. Do not hesitate to contact her if you have questions about completing a session design worksheet.
