U.S. Communities is hosting a webinar about the Home Depot contract and rebates available to local governments.  Agencies that purchase as little as $10,000 annually from Home Depot are eligible for a rebate through the U.S. Communities Program.  You simply have to complete the USC THD account registration process.  Agencies who complete this process prior to December 31, 2015 will receive the full rebate on their 2015 purchases going all the way back to January 1, 2015.  The webinar will provide details on completing this process.  Click here to register for the webinar which will be held on October 30, 2015 at 3:00pm (EDT).  
The United States Court of Appeals ordered the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to temporarily delay nationwide adoption of the "Waters of the U.S." rule.  The order was in response to challenges brought by 18 states, including Tennessee.  Click here for more information. 

The Comptroller's office released September 2015 Revenue Report - which reports that the general fund was over collected by $106.2 million and the state's revenues were $1.2 billion in the month of September.  Year-to-date collections for the first two months of the fiscal year were $132.5 million more than the budgeted estimate.
The Transportation Coalition of Tennessee has released an interactive map of Tennessee's Road and Highway needs.  The map shows nearly 400 unfunded state road/highway projects which equal nearly $8 billion in need.  Click here for the interactive map.  The Transportation Coalition has also put together an Infrastructure Notebook full of information and presentations which were given at the Transportation Summit in Rutherford County (Murfreesboro) on October 6th.  Click here for more information.
