This week we celebrate the important contributions that postdoctoral scholars make to research and discovery, scholarship, creative endeavors and education as part of National Postdoc Appreciation Week. This is an annual event held the third week of September where institutions and organizations from across the world recognize postdocs. At the Graduate School, we are proud to see firsthand the impact of your contributions as postdocs at The University of Texas at Austin.

Your unwavering dedication, expertise and hard work make a lasting impact on our entire academic community. You are the quiet champions of our institution, and we continue to be inspired by your passions. Your contributions are deeply valued and do not go unnoticed. You are a vital part of The University of Texas at Austin, and it is a privilege to collaborate with such a talented and committed group of scholars.

As part of this week, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs will be holding the annual Postdoctoral Appreciation Week Research Symposium at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center on Wednesday, September 17.

Postdocs will showcase their research, meet other scholars, participate in professional development workshops, hear from two keynote speakers and more. If you have not yet registered, please reach out to Postdoctoral Affairs at postdoctoralaffairs@utexas.edu for instructions on registering. We are happy to accommodate late registration and hope to see you there!

A major accomplishment this year has been the establishment of our own UT-Austin Postdoctoral Association (PDA), a group that is run by postdoctoral associates on our campus whose mission is to support, advocate for and provide resources to this community.
