Director's Message
With the new year underway, our 2025/26 season has begun to wind down with younger teams competing in SOCAL State Cup. Congratulations to San Clemente Surf Boys 2018 who are continuing in the Premier Cup 32 to 16 round this weekend!
Many of our older players have been leading their high school teams with exceptional results. San Clemente and San Juan Hills High School Boys Varsity teams have both qualified for CIF playoffs that begin next week. San Clemente Boys Junior Varsity led by several Surf Boys 2008/09 and 2010 players were undefeated and won their league. San Clemente Girls Fresh/Sophomore Team won their South Coast League with several Girls 2011 NPL players contributing.
In college recruiting, San Clemente Surf B2008 NPL players have several scouts observing their match play and have been invited to on campus visits.
Over President's Day weekend, our Girls & Boys 2012 teams will compete in the exclusive
Surf Nation Champions League Tournament. This unique event brings together U14 Surf Nation Clubs from across the United States to showcase their talent at Surf Sports Park in Del Mar. Teams will be filmed and players scouted for potential invites to the Surf Select National Team. Games will be "live-streamed" so

San Clemente Surf Club's ZONE 2 2026/27 Tryouts begin Monday February 23, 2026. All San Clemente Surf Club players born between August 1, 2012 and July 31, 2017 should register now. With the recent age group changes and local excitement for World Cup, we anticipate a large turnout.

If you have questions or need assistance with tryout registration look for the San Clemente Surf Club table the week of February 9 during practices at Tierra Grande and Vista Hermosa. New age group ranges, tryout schedule, and FAQs are
posted on our website. Once registered, players will receive confirmation of their age group and tryout date. As a reminder
all players must register for tryouts including Zones 2 & 3.
