Dear Graduate School Community,
As this semester comes to a close, I have been reflecting on the progress we have made this year and will continue to make in the months ahead. In July, we initiated a Launching Student Success Stipend, which provides critical support for doctoral students as they launch their doctoral studies. This fall, we announced a groundbreaking $5 million annual investment made by the Provost to support doctoral education and training as part of Discovery Vanderbilt. As we continue to make progress on these enhancements, please continue to share your feedback with me.
I hope you take tremendous pride in the impact of your scholarship, research, and creative expression. You are a vital part of our scholarly community at Vanderbilt. On behalf of everyone in the Graduate School, I want to offer you best wishes for the holiday season. Over the break, please relax and reconnect with your friends and family. I look forward to seeing you back on campus in January.
