Selma Screening

Berkshire Museum is offering free general admission in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, thanks to sponsorship from Greylock Federal Credit Union. The film Selma will be screened at 2 p.m. Copies of Martin Luther King & the Montgomery Story, the famed 1957 comic book, will be available in limited supply. More info

The Martin Luther King Day Committee welcomes everyone, once again, to join them on Monday as the Northern Berkshire community celebrates the life, principles, and ideals of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Check-in is at Church Street Social Center at 8:30 a.m., followed by opening remarks, going to service sites or staying at the center for on-site activities, lunch, and the annual Peacemaker Award. More info

Day of Service

Berkshire Community College will honor one of our greatest heroes by giving back to the community at its annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service event. Breakfast and keynote by Pittsfield's Chief Diversity Officer Michael Obasohan will be followed by volunteer activities and lunch. On Sunday, January 14, at 4 p.m., a celebratory service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Pittsfield. More info
